Computer Lessons for Beginners

We specialise in teaching beginners, visiting you at your home or office at a time that suits you.

We work at a pace that is best for you, and explain things at each step, so that you will build up your confidence and comfort in using the computer system. Throughout the sessions, you are guided in practical, hands-on activities and quickly become familiar with new techniques and get a good understanding of what the system is doing.

Training sessions are conducted in a friendly and flexible manner, and typically last around an hour. Shorter or longer lessons are easily accommodated if that is what you would prefer.

A range of subjects may be covered, as shown below, but we also spend time on the specific areas that are relevant to your own needs and interests.

Learn to turn the PC on and off correctly

Different ways of using the mouse or touchpad - click, double click, drag

Viewing and controlling the icons and toolbars on the Desktop, and using the Start Menu / Start Button

Controlling windows – moving, scrolling and changing size

Learn to create, rename and delete files and folders

Understanding security - protecting your system, and how to stay safe

Cut, copy, paste – learn what it means and how to use it

Using email attachments e.g. photos

Become effective at searching on the internet

How to change system settings – using the Control Panel

We provide our training services in south Buckinghamshire and surrounding region. This includes the major towns of Amersham, Chesham, High Wycombe and Beaconsfield. We can also travel a little further out to Princes Risborough, Maidenhead, Marlow and Thame.
